A cosy and modern hotel in the heart of Silesia, part 1
Today we are taking you to the SEVEN hotel in Bytom, on whose example we will show you what solutions have been used here to make your stay more enjoyable. One of the key elements in the hotel is interior design. Skilfully designed and accented lighting becomes a big advantage and positively influences the well-being of hotel guests. The hotel interior requires a consistent arrangement of various types of lighting, from general to local to decorative.
Hotel surroundings
The external view of the hotel determines our first impression, and you only get one chance to make it. The lighting must match the needs of hotel guests, regardless of the season or day. The visibility of parking spaces, traffic routes, pathways, the building's façade and the greenery around not only allows you to safely reach the hotel, but also affects your sense of security. With light, we can increase the attractiveness of even the simplest buildings.
To illuminate these zones, in the case of the SEVEN hotel, we used Kanlux NOVIA and Kanlux SORTA fixtures.
It is worth remembering that the external illumination of the building should be balanced. It must not disturb guests resting inside. Excessive external lighting may reduce their comfort.
Reception
A particularly important place. This is where guests have their first contact with hotel staff. The lighting in this space should be sufficient but not blinding, preferably at a neutral temperature.
The light should be focused on the reception counter, dispersed as little as possible, to avoid irritating people in the lobby. This area is illuminated around the clock, so remember to use energy-saving LED technology, either using replaceable LED bulbs or those integrated in the fixture.
This area can be slightly warmed by introducing decorative lighting as a supplement to the main light source. For this purpose, we can use sconces or accent lighting, e.g. elegant, black wall lamps that will add a classic style to any interior.
The fixtures that perfectly match the reception are Kanlux ALIN LED. They are made of an aluminium profile and steel sheeting, and their performance is just perfect. All screws are invisible from the outside, and the highest quality paint coating is available in three colours. We can decide on the colour temperature ourselves, and there are three standard fixture lengths in our range: 573 mm, 1133 mm or 1693 mm. The fixture comes with a mounting cable and ceiling lining in the right colour. We will also match one of the three diffusers: the version with the louvre, or with the matt or microprismatic diffuser. The Kanlux ALIN LED with Diffuser is characterised by a designer light that gives the fixture a unique quality.
An unusual Kanlux AVAR LED panel in the form of a glowing frame has been used in the lighting of communication routes. Discreet when the light is off, after switching on it provides a lot of light. It is a modern alternative to traditional fixtures mounted in modular ceiling systems.
